The National Competition “Charitable Ukraine” is an annual nationwide contest founded by the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “Association of Charities of Ukraine.” It aims to develop effective, socially oriented philanthropy and volunteering in Ukraine by publicly recognizing outstanding philanthropists, activists, volunteers, and their initiatives.
It is the only ongoing nationwide project celebrating philanthropy in Ukraine. The contest dates back to 2007 and has been held in its current “Charitable Ukraine” format since 2012. Winners receive the “Angel of Goodness”– a ceramic sculpture adorned with legally mined amber from the Rivne region, created by the Ukrainian Kozak family of artists. Over the years, the contest has become a significant public event in Ukraine.
